Random No. 11
The randomness on my mind lately …

My white leather bag — Remember my ivory pledge? I’ve fully embraced it and have been slowly adding more and more of it to my daily wardrobe (and my Pinterest board.) A white bag in winter might not work, you say? But it’s raw leather. It does. So there.
And science says so, too: “Dark colors like black, navy and brown stimulate the secretion of melatonin—the chemical that makes you sleepy. The good news is that studies show there are many colors to keep you energized. White clothes suppress sleep-inducing melatonin and boost serotonin—the feel-good chemical in your brain.” -Dr. OZ! Azis — So you know I like iconoclasts. I have to thank my friend, Greg, for introducing me to my latest iconoclast obsession. According to wikipedia, Azis is “a Bulgarian chalga (pop-folk) singer of Romani descent known for, among other things, his atypical gender expression and his flamboyant persona.”
Watch one of his videos here. If you are close-minded, don’t click. Actually, maybe you should click, it might help you with that.

Salty Snacks — Look what I found! A whole book of my favorite thing in the whole world! Some of the tasty tidbits inside: sichuan pepper apple chips, salted popcorn meringues, rosemary cornmeal crackers, and coconut crisps with basil and chiles! Adding this cookbook to my Christmas list so the Mr. can make me some salty snacks.

8mm App — What a fun app! I so wish I had it this summer because the Cape is just the perfect thing to film using this. It reminds me of my dad’s home movies. You can blame him for my photography interest. He takes pictures of everything, too. Here’s an example of what the app can do. I have three trips planned this next month (NYC, Palm Springs, and the Bahamas) and plan to have some fun filming.

Old Navy vests — I am a huge fan of Old Navy for really inexpensive basics. I especially like their Tshirts and I think I own about 30 of them. Their flip flops and beach cover-ups are also great. I have a whole rainbow of each! I also discovered their quilted vests recently. They are normally about $30, but today there is a 30% off sale! So you can buy multiples. Like I did! (And they have sparkly tanks right now, too!)
