Here We Go …
One of the things I’ve been wanting to do for some time now is make this blog more interactive. Tumblr has been good to me but it isn’t the most open platform for creating a community from across the blogosphere. While Juniper Disco will always have a presence here, I’ve been busy working on a move to Wordpress (shh! Don’t tell tumblr. I don’t want to get kicked out of the club!)
There is so much to learn and I am loving every minute of it. I even worked with a designer this summer on a new logo. And I started messing around with Wordpress themes, quickly realizing I might need to invest more than my usual trial and error approach to learning. Of course my vision of how I want the final space to look doesn’t quite match my skills. I’m pretty adamant that I want to figure this out myself. So it may take some time.
Even though its way early, this is my number one goal for 2013 (assuming the Mayans were wrong. That still remains to be seen.) And instead of just sharing the final product, I’d like to bring you all along on my journey. Wisdom of crowds and all that. Now that I’ve broken the Fight Club rule, there’s no stopping me! (And thank you all for your words of encouragement after yesterday’s post. We’ll just keep on doing this thing!)
Here’s your first peak at my new logo. Huge thanks to Stephanie at Executive Creations for helping translate my many ideas into one great logo and for enduring my endless “what would it look like if you did this?” inquiries. I’m pretty psyched about the way it turned out.
