Boston Local Food Festival 2012
It seemed as though every festival or fun activity possible was happening all at the same time this past weekend in Boston. One of the best of them was the 3rd Annual Boston Local Food Festival. I’ve been to all three!
The event is so popular that they moved it to the Greenway, an absolutely brilliant move. Walking traffic flowed nicely and I never felt overwhelmed by people.
One of the first stands to stop me in my tracks was Ula Cafe and these AMAZING macarons. I’ll take the whole plate, please!

Although I didn’t sample any Jamaican food this year, the Mr. and I hit this up last time. There is nothing like real jerk chicken!

Is that a red snapper? Is that local? Or is it some other fish?

If you haven’t sampled Maine Root sodas, I highly recommend you give them a shot. I’ve tried them all. Delicious!

And the ginger brew is super spicy!

Wow, right? These mushrooms from Shady Oaks Organics caught my eye from far away!

LOVE this! The line was LONG!

Yum!

Amazing produce from the local farms …

GORGEOUS!

A Thai stand …

There was reggae music.

And the fluffiest chickens you ever saw! NO way I could eat that brown one with the poofy feather headdress!

Butchering demonstrations (this one is a lamb) …

And Sofra Bakery always has the best baked goods.

I ended my festival day with their pumpkin jam bar!
