October

A few things on my calendar this month …

Sean Paul -- I know I mentioned this before. I love his new stuff, although one can never get enough of ”Shake that ting, miss Kana Kana…”

Morrissey — I love middle-aged Moz. He’s like a big brother to me. He’s been with me since I was a teen, and through some of the toughest times at that. He’s always just gotten me, you know? I’m taking bets now on the number of shirt changes. I say three.

Boston Local Food Festival — It’s moving to the Greenway this year! Always fun. And always crowded.

Cranberry Harvest — Finally going to see how they get those little berries to float!

Boston Cocktail Summit — New event this year! Should be fun.

ENfold Installation at Evan’s Way Park — Art. Outside. By the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

Salman Rushdie — His new book, Joseph Anton: A Memoir, is an account of his life under the fatwa. No idea what to expect but I am certain hearing him talk about it in person will be incredible.

Labyrinth Walk — Boston just built a brand new labyrinth on the Greenway. I’m joining this month’s early morning guided labyrinth walk. (#51 on my Mother List.)

War Horse — I’ll probably just stare at the mechanical horse the entire time.

Boston Book Festival — This will be the first year I can actually go to this day-long FREE (seriously!) celebration of books and reading.
