Lobster Grilled Cheese at the Hot L
At the beginning of the summer, we learned about the closing of a beloved Ptown restaurant, Michael Shay’s. As promised, I returned to the site to check out it’s replacement, Hot L.

On the way back from the beach one afternoon, we decided to stop at the now bright yellow restaurant for a late lunch.

Where the salad bar and brunch buffet used to be is now the biggest bar in Ptown. (That fact is not verified but it is pretty darn big.)

The Mr. ordered a bacon cheeseburger.

And I had the lobster grilled cheese. I’ve had this sandwich at other places and usually it is just a few bits of lobster thrown in to the cheese that you can barely taste.

This sandwich, however, was filled with lobster. The cheese was barely noticeable and the bread was thick and buttery, grilled nicely to add that crunch to the experience.

Lunch was delicious and the place looks awesome. It is missing some of that cozy, worn-in vibe of Michael Shay’s but it’s a great place. I hope they do well!
